She Was Never Meant to Fit in One Box.
And neither were you.
There was a time when I believed being loved meant being less.
Less outspoken. Less curious. Less ambitious. Less me.
I learned young that taking up space could make other people uncomfortable. That having too many interests meant I lacked direction. That being too much of anything—too opinionated, too creative, too independent—was somehow a flaw worth correcting.
So, like many little girls trying to earn a love that should have been unconditional, I learned to edit myself.
I became fluent in making myself smaller.
But here’s the thing about a woman with a thousand different sides to her: you can teach her to be quiet, but you cannot make her one-dimensional.
And eventually, I stopped trying.
I stopped treating my curiosity like a character flaw. I stopped believing that ambition and softness were opposites. I stopped explaining why I could love spreadsheets and storytelling, structure and spontaneity, beautiful things and big ideas.
I realized I didn’t need to choose between the different versions of myself.
They were never competing.
They were all me.
The Birth of a Different Kind of Brand
She’s The Vibe wasn’t born from a perfectly polished business plan or a lifelong dream of becoming an entrepreneur.
It was born from a realization:
What if the very things we’re taught to tone down are the things that make us extraordinary?
What if being multifaceted isn’t a lack of focus, but an expression of possibility?
What if a woman could be practical without being predictable, feminine without being fragile, ambitious without being apologetic?
And what if we stopped asking women to pick a lane when they were perfectly capable of building their own roads?
That’s where She’s The Vibe began.
Not as another lifestyle brand telling you who to become, but as a space celebrating everything you already are—and everything you’re still discovering.
A place where creativity and functionality coexist. Where beautiful things have purpose. Where individuality isn’t something to accommodate, but something to celebrate.
Where the planner, the dreamer, the mother, the entrepreneur, the artist, and the woman who’s still figuring it all out can exist in the same room.
Because they were never supposed to be separate people.
Practical. Pretty. You.
Three little words. One very intentional philosophy.
Practical, because life is complicated enough. The things we bring into it should make living a little easier, more intentional, or simply more enjoyable.
Pretty, because beauty isn’t frivolous. There’s something powerful about surrounding yourself with things that make ordinary moments feel extraordinary.
You, because none of it matters if you have to lose yourself in the process.
That’s the heart behind everything we create, curate, and share—from thoughtfully designed digital tools and everyday essentials to handmade creations, personal growth, and the stories we tell.
Different interests. Different expressions. One shared belief: you don’t have to become less of yourself to make sense to the world.
More Than a Business. A Little Bit of Rebellion.
I’m a Black mother, a writer, a creator, and a woman with more ideas than any reasonable number of notebooks could contain.
I’m building She’s The Vibe from Silverado, California, under Wood Family Creations LLC, while raising a family, pursuing my education, writing a book, and continuing to discover new versions of myself along the way.
Some days, I’m all business. Other days, I’m all imagination. Most days, I’m a beautifully chaotic combination of both.
And for the first time in my life, I’m not interested in apologizing for any of it.
The book I’m writing tells more of the story behind that transformation—the complicated, sometimes painful journey of becoming a woman who no longer needs permission to exist as herself.
But She’s The Vibe is what happens after that realization.
It’s what happens when the little girl who was told to be smaller grows up and decides to build something expansive.
Something welcoming.
Something that leaves room for all the things she once believed she had to hide.
And maybe, just maybe, someone else will find their way here and realize they never needed permission either.
A Note From the Founder
I don’t know what version of yourself you’ve been told is too much.
Maybe you’re the creative who also loves structure. The intellectual who loves glitter. The mother rediscovering the woman she was before motherhood. The ambitious woman who’s tired of being told to slow down. Or maybe you’re still discovering what makes you, you.
Whatever brought you here, I hope you find something that feels like yours.
Not because it tells you who to be.
But because it reminds you that you were always allowed to be all of it.
You don’t have to pick a lane.
You don’t have to dim your light.
And you certainly don’t have to make yourself smaller to make somebody else comfortable.
You were never too much. You were never meant to be one thing.
And darling, you were never missing the vibe.
You are the vibe.
With love, intention, and a little rebellion,
Christina Wood
